Publicly, airlines defend their flagship cabin's price with a straight face, you will rarely see First Class 'on sale' on an airline website, because visible discounting devalues the product. Privately, revenue managers move capacity-controlled premium seats through contract and consolidator agreements with specialist agencies. That private channel is where First Class deals actually live: same aircraft, same suite, same champagne, at a number the public site will never print.
This is why deal-hunting First Class on comparison engines mostly wastes time. The engines can only rank the published fares, the discounted inventory is invisible to them by design. A two-minute call to a desk holding those contracts replaces hours of searching, and prices every airline on the route at once.
